We have had the joy of sharing in some of God's healing love hear together at The Well. We hope to share more stories that proclaim God's power and grace in and through Jesus Christ as the Spirit works to build up and equip our church and the Church throughout the world.

Tom Conlon in Concert - SEPTEMBER 11 |

Since his 1996 debut Soil Out of Sand, Tom Conlon, a native of New York, has been enchanting audiences across the country with a distinct blend of rich poetic lyricism, driving, elegant guitar work and an intensely personal delivery. “Growing up, my biggest musical influences came from my home and the church. I remember my Grandmother’s playing – she was a fantastic jazz pianist. Each time she played, it was a journey. The same was true in church – the music began, and you just sort of dove in. It was something you could get lost in, but together. So I guess my music tries to keep that tradition of taking a journey in the context of relationship – creating a shared space to experience eternal, timeless things.”
Tom continues to tour, connecting in venues often as intimate as someone’s home.
“House concerts are not a new thing, but they’ve regained their dignity, it seems. As a listener, I always want to get as close to the music as possible…it’s just natural with the power of downloading and challenging conventional systems, that we’d want to interact with art on a more personal level, on our own terms…it follows that we’d push live performance more and more into our personal spaces, less production, more connection…the home is sacred, what more fitting place for timeless, eternal transactions?”

| WHO, WHAT, AND WHY WE ARE AT THE WELL |
Basic Background INFO about Well of Hope Church and The Well Coffeehouse
 |
Come join us in person and online....
One easy way to join in the discussion and community is to join our group on Facebook. Here's the link: The Well's Group Page on Facebook.
In fact, would love to have you come and join us at any and all of our gatherings, events, blogs, and the like. We exist for both those who are already gathering with us as Church, and for those who are not.
So come and dig into the faith, hope, and love of Jesus together with us! We can't wait to see how God uses you and the gifts that the Spirit has poured into your life to share in the Mission of God with us at The Well - and in the world.

HEAL - BE REAL - REVEAL - WORSHIP
These five words have become the framework for how we feel God calling us to shape our lives together.
(HEAL) Life and our relationships may wound us in various ways, but in faith we become "wounded healers" - everyday people that the Spirit uses to bring wholeness and connectedness to the world.
(BE REAL) We want our relationships made right, for real. No masks, no pretending. Rather than feigning our strengths, we are called to be honest/confessional in our weakness, trusting that (in faith) Jesus will be our strength in weakness.
(REVEAL) Jesus is all about our relationships being made right with God and each other. So we follow relentlessly asking Him to reveal more of Himself to us and through us. We want to reveal and experience together the many ways that the Spirit continues to call, gather, enlighten, sanctify, and keep united God's people for the sake of the world.
(WORSHIP) We devote our lives to these purposes, because giving our lives in love to God and people in response to all that God has given us is worship. We are urged to use our minds and our bodies daily to worship God and serve to others according to God's mission and purpose. (Romans 12:1-2)
What Does all that Mean?
We are diverse people - young and old, rich and in need, artist and engineer - all walking together on a common path.
We want to be authentic followers of Jesus. We want the Spirit to unite us in love for God and each other. We want to be as creative in sharing that love as the One who created us to be loved. We want to give generously and hope endlessly.
We don't want to just do church, we want to be Church.
We are part of the "already but not yet". A Spirited life in Christ is eternal and unchanging, yet we live in a world that changes daily. Living life on the bubble requires us to rest on the assurance that God is faithful to His promises. To have faith in things that are not seen, and see through the illusion of life as it appears.
Life is good, and we want to live it well. That may not end in big buildings, anonymous crowds, or endless programming - but it will end in our being truly ALIVE...together, forever, and for real.
So c'mon...submerge...we learn a lot about faith, hope and love when we dive in to life together.
